Major Gen. Sanjay Puri takes charge as Additional Director General Uttar Pradesh NCC Directorate, Lucknow

TIL Desk Lucknow/ Major General Sanjay Puri, SM, VSM took charge as the new Additional Director General of Uttar Pradesh NCC Directorate, Lucknow on 30 April 2022 from Maj Gen Rakesh Rana who superannuated after 37 years of service.

Major General Rakesh Rana was posted as Additional Director General, Uttar Pradesh NCC Directorate on 30 September 2019 and during his tenure the Uttar Pradesh NCC Directorate achieved 06th position in the Republic Day Camp 2022 and achieved 1st position in cultural competition among 17 NCC Directorates.

Major General Sanjay Puri who assumed the duties of Additional Director General Uttar Pradesh NCC Directorate is a highly experienced officer. He has been instructor in Officers Training Academy, Chennai and has held several important appointments in the Army. He joins the Uttar Pradesh NCC directorate after a successful tenure at Army Headquarters New Delhi.
