TIL Desk Bollywood/ The release date of the upcoming political thriller ‘Shorgul’, starring Jimmy Shergill in a lead role, has been postponed to
July 1. The editor and publisher of ‘Film Information’ and television host Komal Nahta announced this news via Twitter, writing, “Shorgul release
postponed by a week. Will hit screens on July 1 instead of June 24.Lack of playing time in multiplexes seems to be the reason.”
The movie, which also stars Suha Gezen, Ashutosh Rana, Narendra Jha, Anirudh Dave and Sanjay Suri, was scheduled for release on June 24.
Co-directed by Jitendra Tiwari and P. Singh, the movie based on the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, has been banned from the western Uttar Pradesh city.
