SRK extends wishes to Karan Johar on parenthood

TIL Desk Bollywood/ Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has extended his best wishes to close friend Karan Johar on becoming a parent via surrogacy, while also requesting people to respect his privacy.  Karan announced yesterday that he was blessed with twins — a girl and a boy — via surrogacy. The filmmaker has named the children Yash and Roohi.

“We wish him happiness. It’s still very personal. So, don’t think I am being cagey by not answering about it.  “I have had this moment in my life so, I know how personal it is. Let’s respect it and leave it to that. We will have love, celebrations, happiness and health later,” Shah Rukh told reporters here.

The 51-year-old actor was speaking at the Mijwan charity fashion show, for which he walked the ramp along with Anushka Sharma.  Shah Rukh and wife Gauri had also opted for surrogacy for their third child, AbRam, three years ago. Bollywood celebrities like Sushmita Sen, Kiran Rao and Farah Khan, who attended the charity event, also expressed their happiness for Karan.
