Begum Jaan first poster featuring Vidya is captivating and powerful

TIL Desk Bollywood/ Vidya Balan’s gaze will hold your attention in the first poster of much awaited Begum Jaan. Directed by Bengali director Srijit Mukherji, Begum Jaan is a remake of Bengali film Rajkahini and is set in the era of partition. The film’s first poster was shared on Twitter by Vidya herself.

The film narrates the story of a brothel built on the border that is to be created to divide India and Pakistan. The authorities want Begum Jaan, the madam of the brothel, to leave the house along with her girls.

The film features Vidya Balan in the titular role and Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Ila Arun, Mishti Chakraborty, Pitobash, Naseeruddin Shah, Chunkey Pandey play key roles. Produced by Vishesh Films, Begum Jaan is set to release in theaters on 14th April.
