TIL Desk/Business/New Delhi/ Amid reports of an acute shortage of the summer refreshment syrup Rooh Afza in India, its maker Hamdard Laboratories (India) on Thursday said that the syrup is now available in the market and can be bought from major retail stores and grocery outlets across the country.
In a statement, Hamdard said: “Full capacity production and a well-planned distribution infrastructure are ensuring it is reaching all corners of the country.” The statement, however, noted that the company was facing supply constraints of certain herbal ingredients which were not available due to a temporary shortage.
The company further asked consumers not to be misled by “incorrect information being circulated online and in print about non-availability of Rooh Afza.” Hammad Ahmed, the “Chief Mutawalli”, or the CEO, at Hamdard Laboratories India said: “We at Hamdard continue our long tradition of providing health and wellness to our customers. As always, we strive to maintain and grow the relationships we have fostered with them.”
