TIL Desk Bollywood/ Actor Irrfan has accused the makers of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s Tamil gangster drama “Kabali” of stealing the official poster of his upcoming thriller “Madaari”.
Both the posters show the faces of the lead actors, Irrfan and Rajinikanth, with numerous buildings and skyscrapers standing horizontally on their faces.
When asked about the starking similarities between the two posters, the 49-year-old actor said, “We are small filmmakers… I saw that Rajinikanthji ki film ne humara poster chori kar liya (I saw Rajinikanth ji’s film has stolen our poster).”
“You see their film’s poster and our film’s poster. No issues. You watch his film and our film too.”
The “Piku” star was speaking at a mall here yesterday while promoting “Madaari”, which releases July 15.
Fans of Rajinikanth have apparently clarified, on a website that the “Kabali” poster in question is a fan-made one and not the official one.
