Rajjat Barjatya passed away, b’town broke down

TIL Desk Bollywood/ In a sad turn of events, producer Rajjat Barjatya passed away on Friday after losing his life to a prolonged battle with cancer. He was the MD and CEO of Rajshri Media and cousin of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya.

The final rites of the producer, which were performed on Saturday, was attended by a number of well-known faces from the industry. Salman Khan, who made his Bollywood debut with Barjatya’sMaine Pyar Kiya, broke down at the untimely death of his close friend.

Salman and Rajjat’s association include films like Hum Apke Hai Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hai andPrem Rattan Dhan Payo. Also seen at the prayer meet were Sonam Kapoor and Raveena Tandon.
