TIL Desk Bollywood/ Superstar Salman Khan, earlier seen as Hanuman devotee in “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” has now lent his voice for the Hindu lord, in the upcoming animated film, “Hanuman Da Damdaar”. Yusuf Shaikh, head- feature films, Percept Pictures, said the 50-year-old actor was the unanimous choice of kids to be the voice of Hanuman.
“Before we decided to approach a celebrity for the voice of Hanuman we ran the idea through a focus group of kids. Unanimously the kids echoed Salman Khan as the most suitable and loved voice for Hanuman,” Shaikh said in a statement.
“Post that the direction and animation team designed the character and few patent dialogues of Salman in sync with the story of Hanuman. And, when Salman saw the footage he could not believe how impactful the synergy was…,” he added.
The forthcoming 2D animated movie will also feature voices of Javed Akhtar, Raveena Tandon and Kunal Khemmu. The film is scheduled to release on October 7.
