TIL Desk Bollywood/ Actress Priyanka Chopra, who will be hosting United Nation’s Global Citizen Festival, says people around the world have put aside humanity in the race to prove their “god or country” better. The former Miss World, who is scaling new heights globally, also spoke about her Indian roots, saying she “comes from a country which has seen poverty and affluence live together in a cohesion”.
The actress, who is shooting for the second season of Quantico, shares that “we have forgotten about humanity, we are fighting about your god is better or my god is better, my country is better or yours is better. We’ve forgotten about what the future is, and the future is of the world and the millennials.”
Priyanka, who tasted fame internationally as Alex Parrish with Quantico Season 1, which will air in India on Star World and Star World HD from August 2, also feels that Global Citizen Festival “gives the millenials – the youth of today which is the generation of tomorrow, the power to say that I can be the change that I want to see”. The actress is also looking forward to her Hollywood debut Baywatch.
