TIL Desk/National/Vadodara-An ‘Indo-Russian project’ has been sanctioned by the Centre and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) to the city-based Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSUOB) and the Bananas Hindu University, Varanasi to get improved nuclear data.
“The Indo-Russian joint project on the topic – Fast Neutrons as a probe for Elemental Analysis, Nuclear Reaction Studies and Cross Section Measurements – has been jointly sanctioned by the department of science and technology and RFBR to the Baroda varsity and BHU,” N L Singh, Dean, Science faculty, MSUOB told.
“The objective of the project is to get improved nuclear data with less associated errors for the purpose of preparation of shielding, building and coolant materials in the development of new generation reactors in order to contribute towards the achievement of more nuclear power,” he said.
