TIL Desk/National/Mumbai/ Three properties belonging to fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who is wanted for his role in the 26/11 terror attacks, will be auctioned in Mumbai on Tuesday. The three properties belonging to Dawood Ibrahim which will be auctioned on are – Ronak Afroz Restaurant, Damarwala Building and Shabnam Guest House.
Shabnam Guest House is a two-storey building on Yakub Street, Bhendi Bazar. If sources are to be believed, the property was bought in name of Dawood’s first wife Mehjabeen. The Reserve price kept for present auction is Rs 1 crore 23 lakh, 43 thousand.
Damarwala building was home to Dawood Ibrahim and his family members in late eighties. Ibrahim’s close aide, Kaskar, after being released from jail was staying in this building and conducting operations of D Company. The Reserve price now kept for the property Rs 1 crore 55 lakh 76 thousand.
Ronak Afroz restaurant went under hammer in 2015. Its bid was won by a former journalist, S Balakrishnan, who couldn’t raise the bid amount which was Rs 4.28 crore. Hence, the property is being auctioned again.
According to reports, the auction will be conducted at 10 am by a private auctioneering firm at Indian Merchant Chambers (IMC) Churchgate through E-Auction and public auction in Churchgate area.
