Bhagwant Mann suspended from Lok Sabha for nine days

TIL Desk/National/New Delhi-LS speaker Sumitra Mahajan advises AAP MP Bhagwant Mann not to attend Parliament until a decision is made. The Speaker also sets up a 9-member panel to probe Mann’s video which put Parliament security “in peril”. The panel will submit the report on August 3.

In other words, Mann will not attend the session till the panel reaches a decision. The Speaker said it is imperative that strict action is taken to prevent a repeat misdemeanor.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan met Maan for about 20-minutes and reportedly expressed her displeasure and unhappiness over breaching specific rules related to the Lok Sabha, and in particular his move on Thursday to video live stream his movements in Parliament.
