TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ Congress VP Rahul Gandhi has assured to look into the issue of tickets being distributed to relations of party members for upcoming MCD elections.
Miffed Congress workers on Sunday met Rahul who had returned from his trip to the US. They alleged that potential candidates are being neglected while unpromising wives and children of certain Congress members are being projected to contest the polls. The crucial MCD elections will decide the standing of the Congress, the BJP and the AAP in Delhi.
AAP has taken a lead in the battle by announcing almost all but a few of its candidates in the elections, while both the Congress and the BJP are yet to do so. The elections for the three municipal corporations in the city will be held on April 22 while the votes will be counted on April 25.
