I’m no astrologer, but BJP will win West Bengal: Rajnath Singh

TIL Desk/National/New Delhi/ Excerpts from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s interview: “I am not an astrologer but I am confident that BJP will get a clear majority in West Bengal. 

Mamata Banerjee’s allegations hold no importance. We have run the govt from 2014 till now under PM Modi’s leadership. People have supported us. We got more number of seats in second term. Had we not run govt properly then we wouldn’t have achieved such majority in 2019 polls.

when asked if going to the polls in Bengal without a CM face, could cause a loss to BJP. “No. Ours is a democratic party. The elected MLAs will choose their leader.”

“No one levelled allegations except Mamata didi. Reports of probe agencies and Observers state that the accident occurred due to security lapses. I hope she recovers soon. But it’s a result of her desperation that she’s accusing BJP for her injury.”
