TIL Desk/National/Imphal/ Re-polling is being held in 34 polling stations in Manipur that went to polls in the first phase of the two-phased state assembly elections. The polling started at 7 this morning and will conclude at 3 in the afternoon.
Voters are seen standing in queues before the polling stations to cast their votes, which is so far peaceful, said an election commission official.
Polling in these booths in Imphal, Churachandpur and Kangpoki districts were held in the first phase of assembly elections on March 4. The re-poll was ordered on Tuesday following electoral malpractices in these polling stations, the official said.
