TIL Desk/National/New Delhi-Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday remembered the martyrs of the Kargil war on Kargil Vijay Diwas. On the 17th Kargil Vijay Diwas, Narendra Modi, in a series of tweets, hailed the heroes of Kargil war. Narendra Modi said that the nation was inspired by the courageous act of Indian soldiers during the Kargil war. PM Modi also praised then Atal Bihari Vajpayee led NDA government for showing strong political leadership.
“On Kargil Vijay Diwas I bow to every valiant soldier who fought for India till the very last breath. Their heroic sacrifices inspire us. India will never forget the fearlessness with which our courageous soldiers gave a befitting & unforgettable reply to the intruders,” Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter. “We recall with pride, the firmness demonstrated by India’s political leadership in 1999, which ensured a decisive victory in Kargil,” Modi added.
