TIL Desk/National/Mumbai/ Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has called on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee but both leaders maintained that their meeting did not revolve around politics.
The Shiv Sena president was accompanied by his son Aditya Thackeray for the meeting held at Trident hotel in the city. “This was my first meet with her. There were no political discussions held but we share the same views on issues like demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
This was the first meet, let’s see how things shape up,” Uddhav said after the two-hour long meeting. Uddhav also revealed that discussions were held regarding a possible joint sister cities venture between the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC). Mamata, who is in Mumbai since Tuesday, has met industrialists and businessmen over investments on projects in Kolkata.
