UP congress “CM candidate” likely to be Sheila Dikshit

TIL Desk/National/UP-The UP poll in-charge for the Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad, will hold a press conference today at 4 pm today. Sheila Dikshit is likely to be named Congress’ UP CM candidate.

Dikshit has already met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. Speculation is rife among party circles that the leadership is likely to propose her name for leading the Congress campaign in Uttar Pradesh.

The Congress had roped in poll strategist Prashant Kishor to guide the party in the crucial state assembly elections, scheduled for next year. Kishor previously proposed Priyanka Gandhi and Rahuls name as the partys CM face, but the idea was soon dropped.
