TIL Desk Sports/ Indian boxers don’t run the risk of disqualification from Rio Olympic; kit problems sorted out, says coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu. The International Boxing Association (AIBA) pulls up Indian boxers for not having ‘India’ written on their jerseys.
Indian boxers Vikas Krishan , Manoj Kumar and Shiva Thapa now face a risk of being disqualified at the Rio Olympics. It is a statutory requirement in Olympics to have the name of the country the sportsperson is representing to be emblazoned on the blazer.
