13 people found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bihar

TIL Desk/National/Gopalganj-Bihar never seems to find its way away from mysterious happenings and controversies. In an incident that took place in Gopalganj area of Bihar on Wednesday, thirteen people were found dead under mysterious circumstances.

However, according to the family members of the dead, they had allegedly consumed poisonous liquor in Gopalganj town. District Magistrate of Gopalganj, Ravi Kumar confirmed that nine have been found dead so far.

Meanwhile, investigation is still underway. Some reports state that the district administration has denied that the death was caused due to consumption of illicit liquor. It comes as a setback for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that even in spite of the liquor ban imposed in Bihar in April this year, the state doesn’t really seem to get serious on these issues.
